I was in the Navy five years ago but the Navy isn’t hardcore on working out like the Marines or the Army. The only time I usually run is when I press the “X” button on my Playstation 3 controller. It would have been Week Four but I sprained my ankle while hiking in Northern Italy. I was watching this guys videos on You Tube for a couple weeks before I decided to put money out on this system.Īs of this Friday (16JUL2010), I will have completed Week Three of the program. What is Project X you may ask yourself? Well, I’m here to put Jeff Cavilere’s Atlean X over the next 90 days. I noticed a couple looking at me like “didn’t he just get in here?”. ![]() I thought I was going to be at best at 12 minutes. It was actually probably under 10 minutes but I was so spent by the end of the last round that I didn’t move for a couple seconds. I was actually suprised when I stopped the time on my iPhone. I’m going to order a new one today so hopefully I can film Friday’s test.įinish Time: 10 Minutes, 3.4 seconds. I know I promised a video, but my camcorders power cable went AWOL. For the fit test, I made a short playlist in iTunes totalling 20 minutes which included a opening stretch song and a cool down song (those tracks are usually R&B or classical). ![]() People in the gym say I look psychotic when I’m working out which is great because it means I’m focused. For music, I prefer really agressive Hip Hop & rock from 50 Cent to Korn. Actually there’s a whole host of apps on the iPhone/iPod Touch line up that are great. You can use the timer for cardio or you can download excerise timer apps. My iPhone is one of the best gym devices ever made. My gym plays easy listening music which is not what you need to get the adrenaline flowing. Music: If I don’t have music, my workouts generally suck. Today’s shirt was my black Nike “Just Do It” tee which from now will be my fit test T Shirt. However, everyday, this gives me a chance to catch up on some stuff I do like ( American Dad, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mad Men, and alot of Discovery Channel &National Geographic shows). See, I don’t actually watch TV unless I am bored out of my mind. I iron all my clothing while watching a TV show on my computer. ![]() If I say to myself “I’ll do it in the morning”, that is arecepie for disaster. I always prepare everything the night before or as soon as I come home from work even if I am dead tired. This is the one thing being in the Navy taught me well. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how long I would take. “Rookie” is at the low end which is a completion time of over 17 minutes. “Elite Status” is at the top end, which is if you can complete the circuit in under 8 minutes. 100 Inverted Rows (which I spent all weekend looking for a suitable bar) I spent all weekend psychologically preparing myself for the Atlean X Challenge which kicks off and ends week four. ![]()
